Is It Possible Germany Might Again Fracture Into Two Countries?

I am told the former East Germany has many neo-n***s and also resents the former West Germany for economic reasons.So is another split possible?

No, that's very unlikely. From my view the discontentment of (many) people in the former GDR results from the "fairy tales" the former Western German chancellor Kohl told them when the two parts were reunited in 1990. He made them belief that it would take only a few years and the Eastern part would flourish like the Western part. That purely was a lie every rational and realistic person could detect easily. Both parts have been divided for 40 years and developed very, very differently due to the different political systems. I believe it will take the same amount of time (40 years) until the "new" Germany will have reached the same economical standard as the GDR economy literally was bankrupt in 1989. Dividing Germany again would not solve any problem.

However, the neo-n**i "movement" in both parts - from what I know a little stronger in the Eastern part due to higher unemployment rates etc - should not be trivialized by any means. It is anti-democratic and a shame for Germany. It is an illusion to belief these people have the easy solution to social and economic problems all countries - not only Germany - are coping with. Moreover, Germans already made the mistake not to take this "problem" serious with devastating effects for millions of innocent people and the entire world.

I do not think so. Reunion was ok, but many of that former communist people are in responsible places in government or police. Per example in the German BUNDESPOLIZEI are about 5000 former officials from the STASI and the former DDR-Police and army.

In former West-Germany we had before reunion no big problems with that stupid Neo-n***s. But now we have them coming from east germany, before reunion the called it "Völkerfreundschaft". the official line was ,we are friends to every "black" man especially people from the terrorist SWAPO in Namibia and other part in the world-now the same people beat that kind of people. That the truth!

Splitting the country again would be difficult, if you look at our younger people they never have been east or west German so they wouldn't know how to be different from each other or how to split.

My whole family still lives in East Germany and I could not say that they have problems with neo n***s or even ever seen any. So yes there might be some but many? I don't know. And resent West Germany for economic reasons? Well, unemployment rates are very high where my mom lives (about 20%), some people there work for 3 € per hour (about $ 4.50) and are naturally not happy about that because they don't know how to feed their families. But I don't think this is fault of any West Germans it is just a difficult economy at the moment. I still don't think that any of those people would want to go back to what they had before reunion, so they will not split.

If there should be a split (which is very unlikely), it will not be between east and west, but between north and south. These regions are traditionally far more different from each other. It might be possible, that Bavaria seperates from Germany one day, as it is the region, that has the strongest regional patriotism and has a long historical dislike against Berlin and other areas.

There are still ressentiments between eastern and western states, but this will surely not be enough for a secession of one part from the other. And even in case it happened, it would not be a n**i-story (it is not like they were everywhere in here; the number is about the same in east and west and it is a small minority), but about social questions maybe (the socialist tradition in the east is stronger for certain reasons).

Definitely impossible. The thing about the neo-n***s is mostly a media hype; no German citizen takes that serious. There IS some debate between the former west (where I am from) and the east; but reunification was in 1989, that's quite a few years ago. There will be no split again, but there's debates about how living standards in the east could be adapted to western ones, as this had been promised to east Germans and isn't yet fulfilled. Maybe because of this, former east Germans tend to vote for left-wing and right-wing parties, but I wouldn't call them communists or n***s just for their votings. A good lot of them is disappointed about the promises the government made and tends to vote for some extremist party; but that's democracy. A party wouldn't be allowed if they were against the constitution.

If you take a historical look you see that the division between east and west Germany was not a voluntary act of the German population, it was a consequence of the lost war and the following cold war. As soon as it was possible, Germany reunited.

Germany does not really have noteworty separatistic movements. There are other European countries which have much greater separatistic movements, for example UK or Spain. There are of course some differences between the various German regions, but I cannot imagine Germany splitting up again unless we get a sort of warlike condition again, which I cannot see anywhere.

Very unlikely. The 'Neo n**i' movement isn't that big in the former DDR, actually they're more active in the western part of the country. The people that live in the former DDR are quite content with what's going on, more and more jobs are coming here and the unemployment figures are dropping. I might add that the 'Neo n***s' are against almost everything, except for beer, soccer and fighting...they are pretty much scorned here in the east.

there are more foreign rightist extremist in germany than germans. "grey wolfes" for instance. a turkish racist organisation.

PS: Nobody has to work for 3€ in germany, welfare corresponds 6€ for a single person. with children much, much more. it would be very stupid to work for less than 7€.

in the south nobody work under 11€.

I highly doubt it. I have lived in the East and traveled in both East and West and I see no reasons why they would ever separate after all they went through to unite again!
