You probably all know the story when a child runs away or is abandoned by his parents are separated from them in some way, and he is taken in by wolves and raised as one of them.

Is this really possible?

Are wolves really capable of raising a human child or is this just some sort of myth?

It is true and has happened.

Still, the stories like Tarzan never happen (where he grows up healthy, learns to speak and becomes comfortable wearing clothes).  

Feral Children is the name for human raised by animals.  When found the child is undernourished, smaller than a child of the same age and usually moves on hands & feet instead of walking upright.

The children tend to be institutionalized and rarely learn more than a few words or eat with utenzils.  Some have even escaped custody and returned to the wild, never feeling any connection to other humans.
