Is It True If You Charge it before it runs out of battery bad?

I just wanna know i charge it even when it hasn't ran out of battery but my auntie and cousin says it is not good if you do.

It should be fine..

I play my DS while it's charging.

Running the battery down completely is probably bad, to be honest. If the battery keeps running out, it might end up leaking or making the battery life shorter.

It doesnt say anything about it in the DS manual.

i couldn't find anything about it so i guess it doesn't matter if the battery isn't fully out of battery.
