Is It odd for a Teenager to be close to a Special blanket and Bear?

Would it be VERY strange and embaressing for a teenager to still love a teddy bear and blanket from when she was born?

well personally i don't but it would be strange for most people so I would keep a special item such as a teddy bear or a blanket would bring memories when i was a kid.

My 16 year old niece has a rag doll cat that she has had since she was a little girl. She has taken it all over the place & so have several family members.

When she was getting ready to go on a school trip last year, she left the cat at home. When she met everyone to get on the bus, nearly every one of the kids had a blanket/bear/something that they take with them. Her mom had to go home to get the cat.

i dont think sooo at all i turn 13 soon and i love my baby blanket i sleep with it every night and i also sleep with a teddy bear from when i was a baby too

For a male, i would say yes it makes him look insecure and unstable.  For a girl i wouldnt be so harsh, but it does look a little immature or like you are longing for your childhood where you were protected by your parents and things were simpler.

Personally, I dont think it's weird at all. I slept with my baby blanket until I was 12 (im 14 now) and I still sleep with my stuffed tiger that i've had since I was little. I sleep with him because he makes me feel safe and secure, and i'm not embaressed by that at all. Even when I have sleepovers i'll bring my tiger and my friends will understand without me having to explain to them why I still sleep with a stuffed animal.

no. if its important to you, your age shouldn't/doesn't matter. and if people DO think its weird, you should just ignore them 'cause chances are they've got something they still love since they were little.

of course it is not! im a 14 yr old girl and no matter what anyone says even if its your parents or other family members it is completely normal to be attached to what we call comfort items like blankets, stuffed animals, etc. i know i still have a blanket and many stuffed animals from when i was a baby im not as attached to them now but i could never give them away . you can always love something that brings you comfort its not weird!just ignore people if they say anything im sure your close friends would understand (all of my close friends still have their blankets too and most of them are 15)but i wouldnt go around telling the whole school about it i hope i helped!

no, not at all! I still have a blanket i'm attached to and i'm not afraid of what anyone else says because i can't help that i'm attached to it. hehe. :D

NO! Why would you even ask that? Is this really you it is happening to? Who cares what other people think. I still love my bear very much! I don't care if people think its strange and it is DEFINANTLY NOT embarassing.
