  1. they take a few hours off in the afternoon and close up all the shops kinda of lousy for us since we are not use to that kind of lifestyle, pasta is the main food stuff in any shape or desgin they have over 400 different ones to choose from to me it all taste the same. prices are in euros so our dollar is  weak

  2. Italy has the BEST food , great hotels , sights , parties ,etc. You can spend a lot or not too much depending on your choices.

  3. Well, if you asked that question six years ago, pre-Euro, it would have been an inexpensive dream. The dollar was strong and the Lire was, the lire. The change to the Euro and the dramatic dip of dollar value has indeed upped the cost considerably. I was there in 2000 and it was superb. Today, you have to dig deeper into the pocket and work harder at finding accomodations that don't bite the budget. Places I stayed at in 2000, would cost me four times what they did then and they were budget places. Having said all that, don't let anything stop you from going to Italy. It is divine, no matter where you go or what you do! A piece of pizza from a hole in the wall stand will taste better then anything you've eaten in the U.S.

  4. Fast menu= 10 euros/daily

    Hostel or cheap hotel= 40 euros/daily

Museums ...you must book before go there.

  5. Hi!

Italy is pretty expensive. Rome is actually the most expensive capital in Europe as a tourist. But if you go outside of Rome, to the north or to Tuscany, you'll see that the prices are much lower than in Rome.

I recommend you to go to Tuscany. It's so beautiful and peaceful.
