  1. Safest country in Asia, if you use common sense. Like don't go walking down dark alleys at three in the morning.

  2. japan is one of the safest place in earth but there will be crime but generally it is a very safe place to visit. except for some earthquake which is unavoilable and unpredicable

  3. Japan is safer than even rural US.

  4. Japan is almost the safest country to go.  The US is more dangerous compared to Japan.

Japan has a unique culture and beautiful scenery.  It's easy to believe that Japan may be scary based on movies, but that's jumping to conclusions.

I'm not trying to say that Japan has completely no crimes, but just very few.

I hope this helped a bit.

  5. No,It's a nice place, I can't say 100% safe because there's no country that 100% safe Isn't it?But I think it's safer compare to other country..

  6. i think to base your ideas of Japan on extreme action/violence/gangster films like this is a bit foolish. i have never been to Japan but have heard that its a pretty safe place to be compared to the US for example. every country has aspects of their society which arent safe. im from the UK and this year there has been a massive rise in knife crime (over 100 stabbings in London alone this year) yet never once in my life have i personally encountered a gang/knives/guns or anything like that. so no, i dont think Japan is a scary place to go at all.

from the films you have described i understand why you may think its a scary place to go but Japanese films are totally different to Western films as Japanese directors are more daring and can get away with being more extreme with their direction. i wouldnt think anything of it.

  7. well if ur smart nd hav common sense then u would be safe nd maybe even love japan not that ive been there or anything but that applies to anywhere u go^^

  8. It's pretty safe down here. But really just like everywhere else there is always violence around.

  9. No, Japan is very beautiful and their culture is very interesting (cherry blossoms, sumo wrestlers, samurai's, shrine's etc.). It's a really nice place.

  10. Japan is one of the safest countries to go to.

I once got a little carried away drinking at a club with my buddies and wandered off into the night. I woke up at like 8-9am in the gutter in Shibuya and still had my wallet, digital camera, and expensive cell phone on me. Not my proudest moment but it made me appreciate the safety of Japan.

I've never felt threatened or scared in Japan.

  11. Japan is one of the most safest country around the world.

Colombia has the highest murder rate of 617.847 per million.

United States has 24th murder rate of 42.802 per million.

England has 46th murder rate of 14.063 per million.

Japan has 60th murder rate of 4.999 per million - nearly one-tenth of the States'.

By the way, it's out of 62 countries, so Japan is the 3rd safest country in this ranking.

Best way to find out how safe Japan is would be to checkout the down towns of Tokyo.  You would see a small police stations here and there, and you would never see a weirdo walking around with gun in the pocket or trying to sell drugs.

  12. Japan is very safe country.

I went there and I saw that the people always respect the laws. It  is very good. And Japan is a nice country.

  13. Japan is known to be beautiful and perfectly safe

  14. Detroit has a higher crime rate than the whole country of Japan. Japan had about 136 deaths by guns last year, while we had over 11,000.

Don't believe what you see in the movies.Godzilla is really nice, and he won't step on you.

  15. Yes it's dangerous! They put kids on islands where they fight to the death just like in Battle Royale. It's a good thing you got your info in a movie instead of reading! You could have been killed!

Also stay away from New York City, I saw a documentary where some giant gorilla attacked the city!!

  16. Japan not 100% crime free (where is?) but it is definitely safer in comparison to some other developed nations.

People will not leave their door and windows open when they go out, but I felt perfectly safe popping out to a convenience store on my own at 2am; though obviously there are areas especially in larger cities that are less safe than suburbs.
