Is Jeff Hardy Overrrated ?

Do you think his rather large WWE fan base sometimes over exaggerates his wrestling ability ?

Basicly there are four things you need to be a star in wrestling.

a) Obviously, wrestling skills. And Jeff has excellent wrestling skills...not. I admit, he's made some progress during the last few years, but he is still just a guy who can do cool jumps through tables. So no, he's got no wrestling skills, at least not enough.

b) Mic skills. He doesn't have those either. Remember that CM Punk-feud that won the Feud of the Year-award by Wrestling Observer Newsletter? CM Punk was the one doing all of the cool promos, Jeff simply scored couple of Swanton Bomb's and all he said was "I'm hurt, but I will still beat you!" about each time Punk had done a cool promo. So he can't talk either.

c) Charisma. Now that one he actually has! I'm definetly not a Hardy-fan, but even if he can't talk or wrestle, I gotta admit that he does look pretty awesome doing his entrance with all the face paint and doing all of his taunts on the turnbuckles etc, etc... The crowd also usually goes wild when he for example climbs to the turnbuckle, does a taunt and gets ready for a Swanton.

d) Looks. And he's got those. I'm not a g*y, but you gotta admit that he's good looking. His attires are also awesome along with the coloured hair, face paint and arm tattoo.

He's 50 % of a wrestling star. But is he worth all the main event glory? Nope. He makes a great mid carder, but not a main eventer. Let's just look at for example WWE main eventers: Cena's missing only wrestling skills, but he's better than Hardy. Orton can't talk but he does that better than Hardy. Otherwise, they're pretty complete package's. Guys who cover all the four categories are for example Edge, Jericho, Undertaker, Kane, CM Punk, John Morrison, Alberto Del Rio, Christian and many, many, more. So it just feels stupid that a guy who can barely score two out of four attributes, can win so many world titles, when most others work harder their entire careers and never win one.

So to answer to your question: Yes, Jeff Hardy is overrated.
