  1. us = jelly / aussie = jam

    us = jello / aussie = jelly

  2. yeahh....jello is gelatin and its made from collagen inside animals connective tissue and jelly is a type of fruit preserves

  3. yes

  4. In the US they are two different things.

    Jell-O is a brand of fruit flavored gelatin, the gelatin is the thickener/gel stuff and is from animals.

    Jelly is basically fruit juice and sugar thats usually thickened with fruit pectin. Jam or preserves is very similar but uses actual pieces of the fruit instead of just the juice so it isn't clear like jelly.

    In the UK though, I believe they call gelatin products 'Jelly' not JellO. Not sure what they call our jelly stuff though- maybe they just call it jam?
