  1. unless it is labelled as vegetarian then no , it contains gelatin.

you can buy vegetarian jello which is made with agar(seaweed) instead of gelatin

  2. No, it comes from the nastiest animal parts

  3. No.  The gelatin comes from proteins extracted from the hides and hooves of animals.  MMmm, hooves.

  4. Geletin is made with bones, so probably not.

  5. Not unless it is labeled as such. Gelatin is rendered animal fat, which is hardly vegetarian. Now, if they use pectin, as the gelling agent, which is used in jams and jellies, then the pectin is simply a part of the fruit, but then that makes whatever is gelled a jam or jelly and not the commercial brand of Jell-O.

  6. Jell-O is not vegetarian since it uses gelatin... which is rendered from an animal source.

  7. No because jello contains collagen that is found in animal and human bones. But you buy or make jello without the dead animal parts. if you want the recipe go here:

  10. Jello IS vegetarian. However, it is NOT vegan. It has gelatin and probably glycerin. It is animal tested. For all you know, Jello could have blinded a monkey. If you are a good person youd be better not eating it.
