Is Jersey Boys a good musical to see?

I'm going to New York in August, and I'm thinking about seeing Jersey Boys.

If you've seen it, can you tell me a bit about it? Any questionable material in it? If it were a movie, what would it be rated? (G, PG... ect.) Is the music good? The acting?

Basically, anything you can find out! :)

Loved it. I got to se the original cast and my heart was fluttering the entire time. Ah...it makes references to s*x, but it's really not all that taboo.

It is a really good musical. It has music by the Four Seasons (check out their album on iTunes) and is good for pretty much all ages. I'd rate it at least PG-13. "December 1964" (I think that's the year..) is pretty much all about the first time the main character has s*x. But you have to listen hard (and many times..) to really get it. I'd also suggest to see it with this current cast. It's really great (especially Sebastian!)

I saw it in Cleveland last night.  Amazing show, the scene changes, the acting, singing and dancing are all superb and they made it look absolutely effortless.  I've seen a lot of plays, and I'd say this is perhaps the best one, or at least one of the best.  The music took my breath away, and I wasn't even much of a fan of Frankie Valli before, except for "What a Night."  I'm a bigger fan now, for sure!

Yes, they throw around the F word a lot, as all Italians do with their dramatic talk... there's a scene where guys & gals are making out, but it doesn't go too far.  PG-13 is about right.

I'd say without hesitation - pay whatever you must pay to see this show - don't miss it!

i just saw it a couple days ago, and it was fantastic! the music sounds almost exactly like the recorded CD and the guy playing Frankie Valli sounds so much like him!

It's basically about how the Four Seasons came to be a band, and their rise to stardom.

--But there is cursing, I would rate it at least PG-13.

it was a great show overall !
