It's not looking good for the Swedish player. Parnevik has a broken vertebrae in his lower back and doctors have told him he needs to undergo joint fusion surgery, which apparently will mean the golfer will not be able to continue playing. Parnevik has already undergone emergency surgery on his back at the beginning of this week, and will be able to play for the next month at least, but after that his future is uncertain, the 44-year-old saying that more surgery seemed "inevitable".
