Is Joaquin Phoenix a jerk?

I am a HUGE fan who adores his work and have heard he can be very rude on occassion. Have you heard any stories in regards to his treatment of fans? Or why he may act that way? I know he is not open to the public very often & I like to think he is just very shy.

I love him!  No he is definitely not a jerk.  But nobody's perfect, so he may have a few moments.  And those are the moments people hear about with celebrities.  He does tend to bash himself to the point of criticizing a fan for liking his work however.  Joaquin can sometimes be a little too modest.

How come every question asked someone always says the Jonas Brothers?Some people on here are idiots!

I really like Joaquin Phoenix. He is a really great actor! I'm sure sometimes he gets annoyed with the publicity and loses his temper but what celebs haven't done that?I think he looks like a really nice guy to know.And being cute helps too!

I think he just likes his privacy, but I don't think that makes him a jerk.  He is a great actor for sure.
