  1. Until he does it in another car, I have to say car/team.  The 20 has been the team to beat this year in NW.  Everybody that has driven in it, has won.

  2. Both. He's young, so he still thinks he's bullet proof. The car has to be set-up right as well.

  3. I think anyone at the level of Nascar is good enough to win and I wouldn't say he would win if he were in Brad Coleman's car or Kenny Wallace's car so I will say car.

  4. Both, has with ALL drivers.  Perfect example is Jr.  with c**p equipment he is c**p, with decent equipment, he can win a race.

  5. Both. Can't win with a slow car. A crappy driver wll find a way to lose.

  6. I think that it is both.

He has raced his heart out so far trying to do the best he can do. He also has a great car.  If he keeps it up, he could easily become a Nationwide champ and I know that he will eventually move into Sprint. I can tell that he has a lot of potential to make a great driver as does David Ragan.

  7. Both, Joey has talent, and would most likely win if he was driving for another team, but in this case, he walked right into an awesome ride.  We will be talking about that kid for years to come.

  8. both

  9. Part of both. You give one of the best drivers the best equipment, and they will win races.

Joey already has 3 starts, 2 poles, and 1 win. It's hard to imagine a mediocre racer doing that even with the best of the best.

I think if you give the best of the best to the best, he will finish the best...if that makes sense?!?

If you followed Joeys career early on, it is evident that he can win in almost everything, and he is just proving himself all over again in the Nationwide series. He has to be good to just to make it this far.

Another question you said he was not very consistent: He is. He finished 6th his first ever race, and then in the second one he lead virtually every lap before a slow pitstop moved him further back in the pack, and then he was taken out. And then of course he wont last weeks race. Hardly inconsistent, but just some bad luck in his second race

  10. The 20 car has obviously been the one to beat in the Nationwide series this year and that whole crew has been firing on all cylinders.  Joey would do OK in almost any car but he would not appear near as dominant.

    3 STR8 N 08!!!

  11. I think its really both i mean he had success in the arca series and every thing before that and we all no how good the Jibbs cars are so.

  12. Both he has great equipment but he is a great driver.

  13. Both. Can't win without the car, but the car can't drive itself. He performed under a lot of pressure and hype so I give the kid even more credit.

  14. I would think you need both to be good

  15. Both. He's a decent driver with good equipment.

There are a lot of drivers out there, that if they had better equipment could give a few a real run for their money.

  16. I think he's got a good car but there's no denying that the kid has talent and will keep improving thru the years! I think he is good and we'll keep seeing more from him all the time!!

  17. It is Joey Lagano. I go to 5 Flags Speedway in Pensacola, FL and he raced there before he drove in the nationwide series for JGR.

  18. I pretty much agree with everyone else. I do think he has talent and when you put talent in top equipment yea the wins are gonna come, most likely in large numbers. But he's only had 3 starts so I'm just gonna wait and see if he lives up to all the hype that everyone has put on him. And for JGR, no matter how dominant a organization gets its just a matter of time before everyone else catches up with them. I mean just look at the Childress's Busch cars back in 06.

  19. Both!

A talented driver can get a decent finish out of a P.O.S. (i.e. Dale Jr and Kyle Busch can) but a mediocre driver may not be able to get the true potential of a great car out of it (i.e. Casey Mears, Reed Sorenson)

  20. It's some of both.  It'd be like putting Jimmie Johnson in Kyle Pettys car, he'd do better than Kyle but probably wouldn't win any races in that car.
