I know Kyle Busch was also young. He started in Busch series and then had to stop because they changed the age limit. So who's the youngest driver to race in NASCAR's top series?

  1. I think he is. How old was Kyle, 19?

  2. i dont think so maybe in the new modern era but thats probley it

  3. in the modern era i believe he is, but in his book i believe cale y. said they had a different driver enter at darlington but he drove the car in the race when he was under age.

  4. The answer would be no. The youngest ever (the record still holds) to race for a CUP team is Bobby Hillin Jr. who made his first CUP start in 1982 (North Wilkesboro) driving a car sponsored by his Grandfather and crew chief'd by Harry Hyde. He was only 17 at the time and was a junior in high school. He left NASCAR that fall to finish his senior year and returned a few years later with Stavola Bros Racing. Great question.

  5. casey atwood

first cup race: 20 years, 16 days

    kyle busch

first truck race: 16 years, 91 days

first busch race: 18 years, 22 days

first cup race: 18 years, 311 days

    joey logano

first busch race: 18 years, 7 days

first cup race (if he races at richmond): 18 years, 106 days

i don't know about anyone before then. they all hold, or have held, various records for youngest to win a pole in one series or another or to win a race in one of the series.
