Well, as unorthodox as the israeli population is, they've never really needed any messiahs.

The Torah says when the messiah comes, he will lead them to the 'land of israel'.

They've gone n picked a nation between 3 strategically thought ones, forced the formation of an "israel", & for their benefits, wealth and prosperity have occupied & wiped another nation off the map.
