He was given time off for compassionate leave after his affair was splashed all over the pages of the tabloids - is he back in the UK now?

Yep, he's returned, and even though he was stripped of the England captaincy, largely because of sustained media reportage of his actions, he briefly posed for pictures with his wife when he arrived at the airport. With his domestic life seemingly back on track, maybe he can help steer Chelsea back to another Premier League win this year. Although as an Arsenal fan, I really hope he doesn't.
