Is Johny Benson A Jr.? ?

Question

So give it to me straight - is he Johny Benson or Johny Benson Jr.? If he is a Jr., was his father in NASCAR?

Winter Glory is right on. I lived about ten minutes from Johnny Benson's parents house where Johhny Jr. grew up. His mother ran his fan club, I was a member for at least four years. She used to hold monthly meetings for the club at her house on Saturday PM, Mr. Benson Sr. would be there as would Johnny if he was in Michigan.

Mr. Benson raced late models for about thirty years at the local Berlin Speedway, that's where Johnny Jr. got his start. Johnny Jr. is now the owner of Berlin Speedway, just outside of Grand Rapids.

At the beginning of the racing season Berlin Speedway would have a "test & tune" Saturday in late April. I would go, there would be 10,000+ fans in attendance ! Trust me-it would be 40 degrees and no one left !

It's Johnny Benson Jr.

HIs father Johnny Benson Sr. was a racer, but not at the NASCAR level

Yup. He is a Jr.

Nope. His dad was a modified racer in Michigan.
