With his 4 tries on debut last night, could we put him up there with the likes of Lewis, Lockyear, Johns and Thurston.....

or should we wait and see if it was just a fluke??

  1. i think he will be good but no superstar.

beside the spectacular aerial try he scored (of which i have doubts about the putdown), his other three tries were from almost being johnny on the spot rather than a great individual effort. while all the tries required some skill, any nrl winger should have been able to score them. i dont recall him looking for any action in the ruck, he just very much played a supportive role all game (which isnt always a bad thing)

in all i think it was a very impressive debut, but far too early to predict anything else

  2. Lets wait and see, and then decide after a few games.

Dont put him up there with Johns.. haha

  3. He has only played one game, and let's face it. He lives and dies by the men inside him. The player that should be given the credit for his tries is either Scotty Prince or Mat Rogers. But really, I believe the Titans forwards are the ones who truly did the hard work. They were getting quick ball to the other forwards and backs alike. As someone already has stated, All he needs to do is catch, run and put the ball on the ground. Not too hard when all the other players are doing all the real work.

  4. Let's be a bit sensible here. He scored 4 tries, a wonderful debut, however he is 25 years of age. This is pretty old for a League player to be making his debut. He has struggled to crack the Burleigh Bears Queensland Cup team in the past, so if he can't make reserve grade, I don't see how he'll have a huge career in the NRL.

3 of his tries were pretty simple. All he had to do was catch the ball and put it over the line. His aerial one was excellent, however I thought there was a bit of doubt in it. I'd like to see him play a bit more before we go and slap a superstar tag on him.

  5. Wait and see he could be like the new nathan merrit 26 tries in one season.

  6. He is not a future superstar, a good player maybe.

  7. i think so

    my third internacional answer!!!

  8. He got lucky.  He did his job and that was to score tries at the end of the backline.

Let's see how he handles the rest of the season, like an away game at Melbourne
