  1. By the time KFC gets their chickens, they are already processed into parts for preparation- so they are dead.  KFC does buy from poutry farms or processers who have become infamous for maltreating the birds, before they are slaughtered.  The end result is the same- we eat them, so they die.  But it would be nice if they could be treated as humanely as possible before they are processed for food.

  2. Well, think about this for a minute, Fast Food places want to sell as much glop to as many people as possible so they'd want to buy the least expensive ingredients, so yes, although KFC doesn't actually own Chickens. If you eat there think about how you would feel being kept in a cage you could hardly move in all your life (1 year for the abused chickens) and then slaughtered and sold for meat, Normal chickens can live for MUCH longer than that but the commercial ones are bred to lay incredibly large numbers of eggs and then die.

  3. Chickens need to be petted

  4. Thats what I've heard................but there animals......that are tasty

  5. Every franchise is abusive to every animal, it's really hard to make me care. KFC is too oily and fatty for my taste, anyway, I prefer Lee's.

  6. do you consider killing them and eating them is abusive

  7. KFC is a middle customer - you are the end customer.  KFC purchases its chicken by the ton and has little control over what they get beyond their specifications.  They dictate how big, on average, they want the chickens to be.  Everything else is up to the breeder.  You may hear from time to time of inhumane practices - inhumane being a very loose term here - but those are not indicative of KFC policy or carelessness.

I've become increasingly displeased with the treatment animals receive in the meat industry.  A lot of it seems quite horrific.  I've chosen, wherever possible, to consume only kosher meats (with the exception of pork - I love a good BBQ), as kosher rules dictate what kind of treatment an animal receives when it's alive and when it is approaching the slaughter.

  8. If by killing them and chopping them apart for food, is called abusive? Then you on, mate!
