Is kmplayer safe?

Is it a reliable application, that won't hurt my computer at all?

KMplayer is a media player for GNU/Linux....and yes it is safe. But you don't sound like a Linux user so better check out VLC instead.

EDIT:

VLC plays almost all formats that exist. What is the format (extension) of videos you want to play? I don't believe videos are made specifically for KMplayer.

For me there is much better than KMPlayer or VLC. I strongly recommend you to try SMPlayer. Check out the options, it is able to do very interesting things. And it's also able to read everything (like VLC). That's the one I personally use and I'm very satisfied with it.

That version is special because it's portable. It means that you don't need to slow down your computer with a new installation.. To sum up, you just need to download it and then to click on it to use it ! (You can even take it with you in your usb key ;)
