  1. No, its not. Other schools are way better. They kept on calling me for a period of time for some reason. I didnt even ask for any info about that college.

You are probably better off taking some online classes that are offered by your local community college. At least you will save some money and the quality of the education is much better.

  2. my husband graduated from KU with a degree in accounting.  he loved the school and the programs they offered.  it is pretty pricey for an online school but is rated one of the best.  his academic councilors called him each semester to check up on him and responded to emails promptly.  he loved the school, and had NO problem getting a job once he graduated.  his employer is a pretty large company and having kaplan on his resume really helped.

  3. Uh, my experience I'd say....NO....I just wanted to warn all who have thought of going back to school. This one isn't the one.

When I heard that Maric College AKA Kaplan University had an Interior Design program, I jumped at the opportunity. I called the same day and made an appointment. Several days later I went and spoke with the counselor; who sold me on the school. After all the paperwork and several weeks of anticipation I was a student!

Several weeks went by and I started noticing things I did not like, such as lack of assignments. Some of the instructors would assign projects on the spot; they would come in unprepared, or ask us what we would like to do. Other times, the entire session was out of the book, or "movie night." I went alone with it, thinking back to what my counselor had advice that these classes were a month long, therefore if you did not like the class, soon it would be over.

As time went by I started to get more disillusioned, I have a Full-Time job and I was serious about getting an education. I understood that once I graduated I would have the knowledge to succeed in a career as an Interior Design. I did not learn a thing from Maric College, being I only received little financial-aid I knew it would be best I leave as I did not see myself going anywhere with the lack of instruction.

Later, I emailed the dean explaining of my dissatisfaction and concerns; I stated some of the instructors gave on the spot lessons, straight out of the book. This may have been okay, if it were planned but most of the time, the instructors were unprepared to teach. If I wanted to do self-teaching, I could have purchased a book and read it from home. Saving me thousands of dollars, I did not receive a letter addressing my concerns. I did not know where to turn, and felt taken. My dreams of becoming an Interior Designer have been dissolved. Maric College, charged a lot of money, promised a competitive education. But in reality it is just a money pit, and a total WASTE of time, you will have little to show for but a lot of debt.

  4. these type of schools may help some people but I'd say they're main goal is to make money.

Your much better off going to a school than paying for on line classes
