  1. I don't follow rankings too much however Pavlik is a great fighter and definitely belongs in the current top 10 and possibly in the top 5.

  2. what a stupid question there is no way pavlik is the best out there calzaghe would destroy him i dont even have him in my p4p top 10 let alone him being p4p number 1

  3. Pavlik is a good fighter, but he is not the best in the sport pound-for-pound at the moment. In his two fights against Taylor, I actually saw trouble areas that could end up being exposed, if Pavlik doesn't correct them soon. I would put Mayweather and Calzaghe just to name a couple over Pavlik for the time being.

  4. He isn't the best boxer out there. Joe Calzaghe is. I wish he would fight Pavlik.

  5. I've been following this guy's career since he was like 10-0, let me tell you something, Pavlik has a great future ahead.

  6. I would say most will agree when i say he is by far and a way the best at Middleweight at the moment but he still has a way too prove himself the best pound for pound boxer out there right now. He would however rank as one of the biggest pound for pound punchers in the game at the moment ranking right up there with the likes of Pacquiao on that list.

  7. Don't know him!

But the best boxer ANYWHERE is Amir Khan!!

  8. Kelly Pavlik is good, but he couldn't beat Mayweather,

    1. In Pavlik Taylor 1, when Kelly went down early, Mayweather would capitalize on his fall, much like the exciting conclusion of Mayweather Hatton. Pavlik can go for a knockout, but he can't quite capitalize on his opponents weakness, whereas Mayweather excells in this regard

    2. In Pavlik Taylor 2, Pavlik was the proverbial tortoise, slow and steady winning the race. In a bout versus Mayweather, he would still be the tortoise, but Mayweather would be the rabbit who could not only out run him, but would make sure that he made an effort.

Mayweather is the best boxer today, Kelly Pavlik is a great boxer as well, I don't think he could conceivebly beat Mayweather so I don't think he could be called the best

  9. Is Pavlik the best boxer in the world? Probably not, but he is undefeated and was able to keep that title even after taking on such a strong fighter as Taylor...so that should say something.

Kelly knows how to land an effective punch and on the same note, can take a good punch. I don't think he is the MOST powerful hitter out there, but he is good at wearing down his opponent and remaining strong from start to finish.

It's hard to compare to Pavlik to Mayweather since they are in two different weight classes but as far as Pavlik's weight class is concerned, I would go as far as to say he's the best, as of now. After all...he is undefeated for a reason.

  10. I think so. A lot of people say he has to beat Mayweather to prove himself and I think he could beat him! Mayweather is busy wasting his time and energy in the WWE just for publicity and that'll take a toll on his ring performance. Plus Pavlik is a bone crushing puncher something Mayweather isn't!

  11. I dont think so. I think he has to take a step up in comp to even considered as one of the best out there. Yes, he does have some names on his resume BUT, none of them are near a Mayweather.

Other than that, Kelly is a good fighter. I think hands down he is the best in that division. He is somebody who loves the sport of boxing. How I can tell?? Well, when he faced Miranda, his defense was awful even though he won the fight. But, he went backed and worked on his defense which was evident in Taylor Pavlik 1 and 2. Most boxers rite now wouldve been like, "forget getting better, I won the fight didnt I!!!"

  12. Kelly is the best at his weight & maybe at a few weight classes ahead of him.  He should look at putting on some weight & fighting the Hopkins/Calzache winner.   Maybe Roy Jones jr.   Those would be good bouts in my opinion.

  13. Right now in the middle weight class he is.  he beat Jermain Taylor twice but he still needs some other names to prove himself. maybe a fight with Calzague or Hopkins and if he wins he will be a very big name in the boxing world
