Is Ken Williams crazy?

When talking about Ken Griffey Jr., he, the White Sox G.M., said "Center field is actually the easiest of the outfield positions to play."

Um, no. I thought there was that thing where you have to run more and cover a wider distance. Or that you have to throw farther, typically. Or that if you misplay a ball it turns into a triple, not a double. Ken Griffey will be a good addition and I like seeing him on a more visible team. But I'm not sure what he is thinking with that idiotic statement.

He's only trying to tell everyone that he made a great deal in getting Griffey.

its not the easiest but with his knees he doesnt like to have to run and stop because of the walls.  i think he should play left, his arm isnt that good to play right and hes not fast enough to play center

Yes, Kenny Williams is crazy.  He is a mad genius, that means he is crazy.  But that statement is more of Kenny's patented hubris.  

I wouldn't have any other GM for my White Sox though....

he is wrong the eaistest postion is 1 base because all you do is cover 1st. in center you have to run the most and griffey jr can not do that

He is wrong, but I personally think he said that to make the fans feel like he made a good deal.
