  1. Yes, it is a fairly nice area. It isn't the fanciest town around, but overall it's a nice, safe area. There are a lot of neighborhoods and the downtown area is almost all industrial businesses. There are a few bad areas in all towns/cities, but like I said, I would definitely consider Kent to be a safe area.

  3. It really depends on the area and neighborhood. I lived in an area where the safety differed from block to block. I lived on a good block, but you could see the difference just across the street.

    Really, your question is to general to answer just yes or no.

  4. Demographics info shows high home ownership and average income, high education spending per student, low student/teacher ratio, etc-find this information on the first link. Also, unemployment looks below the national average at 4.6% while the national average is somewhere around 5.5% unemployed right now .   Crime rate has had a downward (decreasing trend) during the last few years, with 2004 seeing more crime than a few years previous or a few years after.  But overall the crime rate is low compared with the national average, esp. violent crimes.
