Is Kenya's Music Scene As Profitable As Reports And Videos SHow?

I used to live in Kenya when i was younger but moved to Canada during my late teens. When i was younger, i remember the music industry wasn't making much money and since i moved here i havent really paid attention to it.

A couple of days i ago i saw a Youtube video of a guy called Prezzo. The quality of his video was way better than the ones i saw in my teens and he seemed to be doing well. Articles i've read imply he is super rich. So i was wondering if alot of the artists are actually making as much money as the articles and reports imply.

If i was to start a record label in Kenya would it be profitable? I ask because on this side of the world, music sales are sagging so im finding it hard to believe that CD's are flying off shelves back home.

Anyone with info or knowledge of Kenya''s music industry, please share.
