Is Kew gardens worth a visit? why?

It is well worth the entrance fee, get there as early as possible as soon as it opens because it is so large and you don't want to miss anything.

I wanted to visit but it was about £10 to get in and thought that expensive to walk around a park

if you're into plants it has the finest collection in the world and you would find it utterly fascinating

if you're not into plants it is still a very nice park - huge area and lots of very attractive walks - the big Victorian glasshouses are great fun to walk through, especially on a cold winter's day because the glasshouses were designed for tropical plants so it might be freezing outside but inside you're boiling - there's also other displays such as carnivorous plants which even someone who's not a plant buff will enjoy

Most definately!

There are some of the biggest glasshouses in the world, all built in Victorian times and of superb design. There is a lake there with the most humoungous carp you will ever see, they can be fed by hand.

The Princess of Wales hot house has several rooms with microclimates of tropical countries, there is desert, savannah and rainforest with superb specimens of very rare and beautiful plant species, the largest greenhouse has the loveliest trees inside, Nepal, Venuezuela and Africa are all represented here in tree form.

The grounds themselves have some unusual and lovely trees, shrubs and bushes scattered around, this is not the usual rhodedendron nonsense! There is a Chinese pagoda as well, awesome views from the top.  You will want to go there again, one visit is not enough. Have a nice time.

If you like plants and flowers, its the finest collection in the world, if you dont then you wont like it

hmmm it's a great garden, very english. if you're into botany then it's your bag.. but I think it's just too manicured, I prefer hampstead heath which has foresty bits you can get lost in.
