Is Kimbo Slice going to be defeated?

Any time soon? And by whom? Personally, I don't think so. Even if he is put up against real UFC type fighters. Yeah that will spark you guys, but really Kimbo can beat like 3 or 4 300 to 400 pound guys in a row. And just because they don't have the training of UFC guys, they are still grown *** men! Plus he is the best street fighter possibly ever and is being trained by a legend (Bas Rutten) to become a mixed martial artist! Another thing, street fighting is the oldest and most hardcore style of fighting. Just think about this and answer. Thanks guys (and girls).

  1. And he also got tooled by a mediocre fighter last night until the ref saved his *** from a decision loss.  So no, he won't be defeated until EliteXC stops babysitting him.

  2. Put Kimbo up against a legit fighter, and he'll lose. everyone he's faced has been known to be washed up or have a Glass jaw.  And Thompson proved Kimbo has no skill on the ground.  Kimbo lost that fight in the 2nd round when he failed to defend himself.

  3. the question is, does Elite XC want him to be defeated? I have to think last night really sort of f'd up XC's plans to put Slice against a top heavyweight in a few years for a mega payday for everyone involved. As far as I and most other people are concerned, he lost that fight to a marginal heavyweight who has a pretty poor record. So, do they take a chance on putting another decent MMA guy against him when he has a good chance of losing next time? Do they match him with another brawler like Tank or Butterbean (which I wouldn't mind seeing) and let them stand there and brawl? do they start telling these oppenents something to the effect of "hey, we will pay you x amount to take this fight and if you win it standing up (brawling) we'll give you a $100k bonus"

The thing is, in order for XC to really be successful I think Slice has to keep winning simply b/c he's been all over the internet and has such a following and I'll admit I have liked watching his backyard fights. He has such a big following but some people will get tired of seeing him brawl it out with stiffs and he's probably got 2 or more years of practice to be more than a good street brawler.

  4. no way only fixed fights for that gorilla

  5. He will not be beat for awhile because they will continue to stack him vs. cupcakes, but eventually will be beaten and they eventually become the next Tank Abbot, but with a shorter career.

  6. Slice is not an MMA fighter. His only chance is to pursue the 4 round boxing matches that gave Butterbean his 15 minutes of fame. To bill Slice as an MMA fighter is insulting to the sport of MMA, and those fighters who possess talent, and multiple fighting skills.

  7. He is not what one would consider an MMA artist, he is a strong (very strong) street fighter.  Even the best street fighters cannot compare to the middle class UFC pros, he'll get submitted in the first round against just about any UFC guy.

  8. Just because your a grown man does not mean you know how to fight! And Street fighting is not a style it's something that happens when your not very intelligent, also if Kimbo is training everyday with Bas and that is the showing he has I'm gonna have to start questioning his status as a legend.

  9. No

Gary Shaw refuses to put him in a ring with a guy who would beat him.

  10. he wont be defeated cause they wont let him fight any one with any talent he is freak show and the UFC's lowest heavyweigth would destroy kimbo in less then 2 minutes

  11. I agree with the first response.  Kimbo is a brawler in the sense that he uses his fists.  Alot.  He's not a grappler and he's no Martial Artist.  That's a big problem for him.  Big problem.  Especially if he were to face a top notched opponent pound for pound who knew martial arts and knew how to grapple.  He's got to use more than just his hands. Hence the name "MMA" and "UFC."

  12. He won't be if they keep giving him nobodies or stopping the fight prematurely.  He showed last night he has little to no skill.  He will this generations Tank Abbott.

  13. I'm hoping NOT.... but reality is ,that sooner or later he will be beat. His ground movements are improving but not fast enough. Last nights fight was good. Thompson had him on the ground a few times and i thought Kimbo was a goner. But his POWER is incredible!! He just overturned Thompson like nothing!!! The more he works on his ground skills, the better he will be! He has a good future in MMA.
