I am a fan of Kimi and use to think of him highly. I expect a lot from him too.

But his overall performance so far has been mediocre.

Next race, I am not going expect anything from him.

I hope I will be proven wrong....

  1. I wouldn't say mediocre, more like disheartened. I don't know, I just get the impression he is not a happy bunny at the moment. I would really like to see him coming back all guns blazing even though he doesn't drive a McLaren anymore!!!

  2. i am a big fan of Kimmi too, i have always liked him.

i have loved his aggressive driving at Mclaren and Ferrari as well he still is & will be my favorite driver.

it is just a matter of time before he fires up again reproves all his critics and you as well absolutely wrong.

and after next race its going to be "Kimmi Kimmi" everywhere...

So World, just hold yourself here he is coming...."Kimmi Raikonnen"...

  3. Kimi's no superhero, very fast but not the complete package.

But he's not as mediocre at the moment as his performances suggest.

He's been unable to get it together in qualifying and that's hurting him a lot.

He was stuck behind Heiki in Valencia because of this and we saw it was impossible to pass there.

He was stuck behind Alonso in Budapest and that's another place you cannot overtake.

Of course he's made a mistake on both occasions.

But his poor qualifying leaves him with too much to do in the race in what is a very difficult era in F1 in that department.

Look at Massa, he gets the job jone in quali and off he goes, people regard him this year as being faster than Kimi but ask them if his race pace is better and they're not so sure anymore.

Kimi needs to plant his car on the front row, he knows it, he's said so, he's working on it but he's running out of time.

  4. His and Massa's performances have been mediocre at times this season. I haven't saw a lot of races recently though.

  5. mediocre i dont think so....but he just needs some councelling i think.....he qualified fourth at valencia and he may have got a podium or at least 4th(had ferrari pit crew not messed up the stop)....he's an driver who performs under pressure....last year oo the conditions were similar...only the differenbce is that  he said he gonna retire some thing like tht and ppl started thinking he's lost motivation....blahh....blah....maybe or maybe not...but silverstone and at velencia he wasnt as bad but wen he's good ferrari pit crew arent so and even if they were the car wasnt(we all remember the misty start finish straight on lap 47...SFX courtsey ferrari f2008 of kimi) it isnt't his fault totally......hope he doesnt feel as if he's at an SPA at SPA Francochamps,belgium..and work hard there to get an win or atleast an 2nd place......

EDIT:is ferrari being biased to mr.massa.....schumi is i think...maybe....cause wenever schumi is presnt in the ferrari pits massa's performance is really good....maybe or maybe not.....and this could be the reason why kimi isnt feeling good there and wants to retire.,....maybe similar thing what happened to Alain prost in the mclaren in 1989 and esp. in 90(wen the mclaren got divided into two parts virtually...into honda and mclaren with only mclaren ppl with alain and honda ppl with senna)....then he joined williams and ayrton followed him...then he quit williams to retire....

  6. He is a excellent and brilliant driver but fact is he is another Mika Hakkinen tho Mika is much better

Kimi is getting bored  he cant be screwed with it anymore

  7. Yes.  He is my favorite but he is just getting schooled by his teammate.  Remember, when we were all asking if MASSA was worthy of Ferrari after the first two races?!

  8. Well.... I have started to question his race performances. He's a really brillaint driver but something's not quite right lately. Poor quali and less than brilliant racing.... If it's lack of motivation, seeing Hamilton doing so well should actually motivate him to do better. I was hoping to see him rise again at Valencia but unfortunately that wasn't the case.

His current form makes one wonder how he managed to get that Ferrari drive. Even if he has thoughts of retiring, he should still give it his best shot. Retire like Schumi, while on top of his game rather than be remembered as say... just an overrated guy or something.

Fingers crossed for the next race. Hopefully Kimi will have woken up by then. Otherwise I'm flying over to give him a wake up call

  9. Ferrari are going to have to make him support Massa soon. If he is still capable of doing it, that is.

  10. I never thought he was that good to begin with.  In my opinion he was always vastly overrated.  I just don't think he is a complete driver because he is not regarded as being good at car setup and development.

What annoys me more than anything about him is that he is constantly said to be unmotivated.  To be reigning world champ, making one of the highest salaries in F1, driving a Ferrari and still have questionable motivation is a disgrace.

  11. Absoutely NOT!! Kimi Rocks!!

Belgian GP will be decisive as Kimi has not lost in that track since 2004! aND i`M sure with a new engine in that race he will DO IT!! and that will be the beginning of his Rising steps, he will go up up and up smak hamilton in his head, kick massa(although Im a Ferrari fan and like Massa) below..

Even if he doesn`t and no matter if he looses the C`ship I`ll BE HIS FAN,...

  12. I think the minute a driver utters the word 'retire' you have to question their motivation.

It is better to walk away and return later if the spark is still there as Lauda did.

  13. Kimi has probably just gotten bored. If you run up front too much, you tend to get tired, which makes you slow down.

  14. Three Putt, it's the media who are asking if he is unmotivated.

He's rather misunderstood but here are his own words, nobody knows him better than he knows himself:

As for mediocre, no I can't say that at all. He has not won a race since April, that is true, but Magny Cours definitely should have been his, Silverstone - wrecked strategy and Montreal, need I say more about that one?

He needs to sort out his qualifying and stop making desperate mistakes, but mediocre? Never in my eyes.

Oh thumbs up for everybody here, because some nice person keeps TDing peoples own opinions.
