Is Kobayashi competing at Nathan's hot dog eating contest this year?

I have not been able to find much online. I did read that he retired after he lost to Chestnut last year but then read that he has been competing. Does anyone know if this epic battle between two of the finest athletes the world has ever known, will continue in 2008?

That's a good question. I've searched the "International Federation of Competitive Eating" and "Major League Eaters" web sites and haven't found any mention of him the reports on the qualifying rounds.

I guess we'll have to wait 'til Friday to find out.

Yes he competed after undergoing therapy for his hurt jaw.
