  1. Köln is sometimes wrote Koeln or Koln (because some keyboards don´t have the "ö"), it is the city of Cologne.

    The Germans can use "oe" instead of the

    old o-umlaut =  o with two dots over it

    But also you can just type koln since there's no easy international way to type an o-umlaut

    If you're traveling from Benelux you'll also see

    Cologne, and Keulen (in Dutch)

    To pronounce Koln in English, don't say "Kohl'n"

    It's closer to "CURL'N" with not a very strong R
