  1. No.

    It is not - just like Blackwater is not a privatized military either.

    Do you even know what exact functions Blackwater is even contracted for?


  2. Possibly a CIA front company. Kroll bought the company Convar after it recovered computer hard drives from WTC 7 which had data on those very suspicious Bin Laden pre-9/11 put options.

The inherent danger is that greed corrupts and since any "privatized" function is in the end all about profit and governmental monopoly--which are the birthing mothers to greed--well there is a real danger of intelligence being sold on the stocks as it were.   Could you imagine the CIA saying,"Senator the South American branch is just not profitable, so we will have to close it."  No, but I am sure that you can see a corporation that oversees Intelligence gathering doing that, as that is what corporations do: Maximize profits and all else be damned.  

    Privatization of these sorts of roles is a real slippery slope and one that I would rather that the United States Gov. not even start down.
