  1. I doubt it, it is too long of a race to read too much into the pole sitter.  Do you remember the top 5 from last year?

    winner-Casey mears (started 16th)

    2nd-JJ Yeley (started 12th)

    3rd-Kyle Petty (started 36th)

    4th-Reed Sorenson (started 34th)

    5th-Brian Vickers (started 26th)

    3 STR8 N 08!!!

  2. Since it is a long track, I'm sure we will see follow the leader for most of the race. I predict him to have a 2 1/2 second lead for most of the race. But, as we see time and time again, the person that dominates is rarely the person who wins. So, I predict the last fifty or so laps to be exciting, but most of the race boring unless you are a Kyle Busch fan.

I hate to call any NASCAR race boring, but I really think this one will be because of this COT and the tire package. I will however be the first to admit if I am wrong, and gladly too.

  3. I went to qualifying yesterday and Kyle Busch was definetely a man on a mission, especially with a lap MPH of over 185. That being said, he doesnt seem to fare very well when he is on the front row, and I think as the race goes on, a few other drivers will have there cars worked on during pit stops, and be able to surpass him.

  4. He will dominate and either break a part or win.

  5. What Thomas said.  Although they claimed the engines to be experimental last week I am still concerned about all the JGR cars and Toyota in particular doing the 600 miles with no issues.  All that HP has to take a toll on those motors.

  6. He won't stay there long because there are a lot more better at the whole racing thing than he is. trust me I watch every, well almost every weekend.

  7. Maybe not for this race but for his career, YES! I'm a Jr. fan but I have to respect him, because he races like Dale Sr.

  8. I think the real question is Is kasey Back he's running second after winning the all star race I would like to see him turn it up and win this one

  9. Oh please where did Kyle finish at Las Vegas with the pole? 12th. He will probably finish in the low 20's or high 30's.

  10. i sure hope it is.  and have fun in shreveport...

    ;-)

  11. God I hope not.

  12. no.  but would you stay home and watch the race if I told you Mark Martin was gonna swoop!

  13. I hope he crashes (preferably in to his brother) early in the race.  I do have to give it to him though because he is a very talented and fearless driver.  At least he is not as big of a dork as his brother is.

  14. As someone above me said, he races like Dale Sr, so I say Go Kyle!

He looks like a movie star too, I was waiting for my car's service today and the store had a cardboard cutout of Kyle. Yummy! He has got to be the hottest driver today, with Kasey Kahne a close second!

  15. not sure, its a long race, his car was awsome at he all-star race, but alot of that is cuz the car was made to only go 150 miles, i heard that later in the week.  but i still think he's gunna have a good car.

  16. If it's any help, he usually doesn't fair all that well in races where he starts from the pole.. :(

*hoping Sunday will be the exception*

  17. I dont like Kyle but he is doing a great job for me as far as points go......usually he isnt very good when he has pole now when he is about to lose he sure does pull some shady stuff

  18. 600 miles is a long way to go and the track will change a bunch. Busch may take off at the beginning, but I think someone else will run him down.

  19. I'm getting real tired of the Kyle Bush show.  Like I got tired of the Hendrick twin's show last year.  When I heard Kyle got the pole I decided to make other plans for the day.

  20. kyle is a great driver and is with a solid team. he has a very good chance of runnin away wuth this race as long as he is patient and his equipment holds up

  21. He obviously has a strong car, but I don't expect him to run away from the field like he was doing in the all-star event. 600 miles is a long time for Shrub to keep his head screwed on straight.

I believe it will be a Hendrick night.

  22. the scrub has never finished in the top 10 in a cup race where he's been on the pole.
