no london is not beautiful it is full of crime i live in bond street and i absolutly hate london no good areas and full of teenage crime you cannot walk the streets safely you do not wish to go ther just my opinion

London definitely has beautiful parts, the architecture as well as the landscapes. Get the Lonely Planet guide and you won't go wrong. If you like to party then there is NO better place in the world. Go soon before the winter comes as the weather is not the best in the world, but summer can be really good. Enjoy!

no londons not what it seems, it looks good on some pictures, but realy thats just one way of making it look good.

its dead dirty and unclean and full of homless people, its always crowded aswell, and everythings dead expensive, i live there and i realy want to move out. theres things like the london eye, it takes about half an hour to go rouand and you get to see all of london from it, theres the marathons which are good to watch aswell, and there holding the 2012 olympics :) plus the shopping arcades are realy good.

i now the type of lace you think it is, i thaught that before i moved here, but the most amazing place to be right now is in the city of liverpool, its actually the best place ever i recon, followed by manchester :)

Ridiculous to suggest anything other than London is THE best city in the world to visit as a tourist. Amazing history, fab theatre, music and live comedy, best restaurants in Europe. I live in London and yes it is getting hit with more crime but that doesnt stop it being an amazing city. I've visited many capital cities (New York, Chicago, Paris, Berlin, Barcelona, Singapore etc etc) and London is right up there.It doesn't have to be expensive neither, get Time Out magazine to find cheaper things to do. head to some of the parks (london is the greenest capital in the world). Honestly, London is a great city!

1.) Yes, London is fairly beautiful. Cleaner than San Francisco. Just get used to all the Big Brother cameras everywhere.

2.) Everybody and their dog is there. Usually they are imported from former colonies. They will either not speak English at all, or they will speak English cockney that you will not understand. Occasionally, they will speak Oxford, Aussie, or American English, which you will understand slightly. There are French people there, but I believe they are just visitors the Brits put up with out of an inherent sense of politeness.

3.) I immersed myself in the museums, cathedrals and pubs, and was happy as I could be with the visit. Didn't do the theater circuit and I'm too old for the night-club gig. But if I had to live in a major city for more than three weeks, it would unquestionably be London.

It's a must see.

Whatever you do don't miss the Tower of London and Tower Bridge both iconic and majestic and just the other side of the road from St Catherines Dock also well worth a visit and while your on the Thames how about the London Eye,The Houses of Parliament,Downing St,Trafalgar Square  Admiralty House,The Mall and Buckingham Palace.I could go on and on but believe me you won't  be short of things to see and do.Have a lovely time.
