  1. Yes, Las Condes is definitely an upscale area of Santiago. In fact, the streets El Bosque and Isidora Goyenechea are referred to locally as "gringolandia" due to the amount of tourists and the heavy presence of American franchise names you can find there such as, Starbuck's, Ruby Tuesday's, TGIFridays, etc. You will also find the more expensive and touristy restaurants in that area. I work in the Las Condes sector and live in the Conchali sector. To give you an idea of the difference, where I live now, I pay 70,000 Chilean pesos a month for a 1 bedroom house. In Las Condes I would pay more than 250,000 Chilean pesos for something equivalent.

  2. If along with Providencia and Vitacura are one of the luxurious sectors of Santiago

  3. Las Condes is indeed a fancy district of Santiago. It is where the "Los Leones" Golf Club is, as well as most of the fancy  hotels (Ritz, Hyatt, etc.) and the hippest streets (Isidora Goyenechea and EL Bosque)

  4. I've heard the people there are nice and that it looks really nice, you'll love the food and all, hope you get to go and enjoy it!!!
