Is Lavender a good name for the beautiful feral lady in my 2nd novel?

Question

I am in school to become an early childhood ed teacher and a writer.I am working on a novel titled The Beautiful and Blessed.My novel is about the 20 beautiful Lovelace siblings.

I am planning on working on a second novel titled Wild. My 2nd novel is based on me and my older play sister. My novel Wild will be about a beautiful Queen named Brennis who rules over the kingdom of Chauncey.One day 2 of her workers discover a beautiful young feral woman among the queen's lavender fields. I am stumped as far as names to give the feral lady. The feral lady is captured and brought to Queen Brennis.I wrote that she names the feral lady Lavender because she was found in the lavender fields. Is Lavender a good name for this character?

This second novel is based on me and my big play sister.When I came to Apostolic Church of God I was like a feral child.I couldn't stand being touched.I came off mean to some of the saints, but they continued to reach out to me.

Well, I think it is fine. The explaination of why she is called such an 'untraditional' name makes sense and can add some flavor to the book. And I have seen far sillier names in books.

I agree it would be a great name. My first gut reaction was that Lavender didn't fit a feral character, since its a sweet flower - and the scent is said to bring peace and calm. When I kept reading, I saw that she was called that because of where she was found.

Then it fit PERFECTLY,. At first there would be such a contrast between the name and her personality.. and I guess that as time goes by, the name begins to fit more and more! It must be amazing to be able to take real life, and turn it into a great story! How cool!
