i'm a girl from Singapore, i'm 14 and my parents are thinking of sending me to boarding school, not that i have any problems etc but they want me to see the world/ widen social circle.

i'm considered the top 1% of my cohort in the entire Singapore and in the top girls' school, so naturally i want the best for my education. like uhm, go to one of the top universities and study medicine.

financially my parents aren't filthy rich but we can afford the tuition fees for le rosey quite comfortably.

so do you think le rosey is a suitable school? Will the IB programme get me into a good medical school?

  1. Frankly? It's more known for its social status than its academic levels. I'm not saying it's a bad school, academically...just that all that extra money almost certainly isn't getting you anything extra academic-wise.

  2. Yes, its a great school, but be prepared to meet the princes and princesses of the world there.  Students include the sons and daughters of the international jetsetter crowd.  They party a lot too.

  3. Hey :)

It's an amazing school.. I went to their summer camp, and i had the time of my life! I'm, well my parents, are planning to send me there because it's such an amazing place to be :)!

    You should go!

And, about the Medical School, yes, most people that graduate from there are very successful :)!

    Good Luck x

  5. If you want the best academic boarding schools, Le Rosey is not among them. It is a school more concerned with blue blood lines than academics.

The top boarding school's in the world are the top American schools, and you have a shot at them if you're in the top 1%: St. Paul's School, Exeter, Andover, Deerfield, Hotchkiss, Choate, Groton.
