He makes so much money in endorcements in the US and he would leave the NBA where all of his fans are?? Is this right? Does money really make these guys that happy? He is already rich.

I sorta think its a B*tch move to go there and play. The NBA is the toughest league in the world

  1. I say let them go if they want.  Do you really think European teams can afford to pay those kind of salaries and still make money?  Once the novelty wears off the European teams will soon realize that even the NBA stars aren't worth that amount of money.

The only positive side to all this is the fact that eventually David Stern will be forced to relax a lot of the draft signing rules which are ridiculous.

  2. Don't just put this on Lebron. Kobe, DWade, Jason Kidd all have said they would play for the right amount of money. It would be a temporary stint it's not like he'll live in Europe forever so this stuff about food lifestyle etc. doesn't make much sense. And yeah 50 million per year is hard to turn down it might even be more. He is not being disrespectful if you haven't realized in sports everyone's out to make money, the owners, the players, the coaches everyone. So realizing this the players should have the sole responsibility to play just for sake of playing when coaches like Donnie Nelson are fattening their pockets after one "lucky" playoff series win.

His dream probably is still to win an NBA championship and if he retires like Jordan and plays in a different league I wouldn't have a problem with it. In fact he might even bring fans from Europe to pay attention to the NBA. This might actually be better for the NBA.

  3. If you say that he is retiring when he becomes 34, he has to make A LOT of money to live the rest of his life.

  4. NO! i would leave too if someone was offering me 50 mill. a year. Thats almost as much as the yearly cap for an entire team

  5. dude if you were lebron james and somebody told you, you can make 50 million dollars a year you will leave to trust me

KIDD AND WADE ALSO SAID IF THEY GET PAID A LOT THEY WILL LEAVE TO

  6. it seems Not only is Lebron a ballhog on the court but also OFF the court

  7. I agree with rich d. you would do the same thing and so would everyone else

  8. 2pts matter to me. Lol

  9. I dont think he is being disrespectful, i think he isnt thinking... at all. He already wants to leave cleveland where all his true fans are. And now he wants to go to europe if he pays the money. he cares about money more than playing. he already has enough money to last him a lifetime. and think about it. he has 2 sons, a girlfriend, a team who needs him, and fans right here. why should he have to leave. if he leaves all that behind, he might never get it back. I think he should stay where he is. he already has a 2 year contract with the cavs (and hopefully longer) and all his fans right here and everywhere else in the world would be soooo disappointed in him. I think he should just stay in the us, maybe get married, train more, and then he can make his own choice.

  10. h**l, I would leave for 50 million a year
