Is Leffe the finest beer in the world?

Question

A tour guide in breweries in Germany told me Belgian Leffe Blonde had no equal; since this tour guide was German and was speaking of a Belgian beer I figured his impartiality had authenticity

It all comes down to taste. Certainly Belgian beer can be fantastic, (Trappiste springs to mind). German and Czech beers (the original Budweiser) are also very good. But there are bad beers everywhere. I'm still looking for a decent American beer (non-chemical). When in England try Wadworths 6 X on draught and avoid anything from the "Smiles" brewery in Wales.

Leffe Blonde is a really nice beer and it will always have a place in my heart as it introduced me to the wider range of wonderful Belgian Ales.

(and from there onto great German, American & English beers)

Many of these are finer beers than Leffe Blonde however, as the Mayor has already stated the beer that cannot be bettered is Westvleteren 12.

Apart from being the greatest beer in the world I also rate it as the greatest dessert in the world :-)

Leffe is a great beer, I also like the brown version they do to. But my personal favourite is Duvel, it's similar to Leffe, but has far more to it. Other Continental favourties include any German wheat beer, these taste a bit like Hoegaarden, though not as fruity. Orval (previously mentioned) is also nice and, if you can find it, Hoegaarden grand cru is well worth trying. Well most things from Germany, Belgium or the Czech republic really.

Also, to me Kriek tastes disgusting, though I guess everyone is different.

i wouldnt know about there beer dont drink it, to  me you only get real  beer in the uk, made with hops, all the rest are larger types made from chemicals.

Leffe is good...but it isn't the finest. If you want to stick to the style Orval is much better, De Koninck too.
