Question:

Is Letrazole OK to take if I'm trying to get pregnant?

My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for a year. I've taken clomid for four cycles and I still am not ovulating. My doctor recommended that I switch to Letrazole for the next two cycles as I may respond better to it. However, I did some research and found that it may increase the chance of birth defects. Does anyone have any advice in this arena that they could offer?

  1. I saw that it MAY also, but the results are pretty inconclusive.  But there are always chances for birth defects, even when you get preggers naturally.  It is a risk we all take every day.  Scary, isn't it?

From what I see the Letrazole is promising in terms of getting women to ovulate.  Talk with your husband and you decide together what you want to try next.  Good luck to you!
