  1. I'm willing to give it the old college try.

Ron Paul 2008 or as close as I can vote and have it counted.

  2. Would much prefer to head in that direction than in the other direction, toward socialism. To be honest with you, I think that is the type of 'change' that most Americans want. Less government spending, influence, and control over our lives. Unfortunately, the campaign that is built entirely on the basis of "change" is not really change at all, if anything it is a change toward the Communist philosophy which is embedded in the corrupt Chicago Political Machine.

Of course it can work, our nation was founded on Libertarian principles. That is what this nation was intended to be. What we have seen is a shift toward a central government with tremendous power over the last century. Keynesian economics and the influence of cancerous communism from the old Soviet Union have infiltrated the Left in American Politics. The influence of the Left has taken on such a role in our society that many people see it as acceptable and even desirable. This is why I say, Obama isn't about change, he is about continuing the same direction we have been going, a stronger and stronger Federal government. This country has been heading further and further to the left, Obama will continue that at a much quicker rate. That is what he means by change.

Without an awakening, where people come to realize that government is not the solution to our problems, rather government is the problem, as Reagan so eloquently put it. We are in for some troubled times where the government strips choices, freedoms, and liberties away because you aren't capable of managing them. It will all be in the name of the common good and in your best interest.

Would I vote for Bob Barr? I would like to, but we are facing tumultuous times and the fear of having someone as far left as Barry Obama become president makes me uneasy. For this reason, I have no choice but to vote for the candidate with a chance at winning and is not a hard left socialist.

  3. I wish, but as you can see, we've become progressively more dependent upon the government and what it can do for us, not the other way around.

I'm a conservative libertarian and hate what I see happening!

  4. Some aspects of it are, but considering Americans already have a tremendous lack of personal responsibility, our country would go to h**l real quick if we adopted all libertarian stances.

  5. I'm willing to give it a shot.

  6. I wish. Barack and the left has people sold on a socialist theme in which the government caters to lazy Americans that don't want to manage their own lives because thier either inept at it or they've been duped by the liberal media blitzkrieg.

It could happen, say maybe 60 years ago. When those geniuses elect Obama, he's gonna do what Jimmy Carter did, but worse....
