  1. From watching Lieberman over the years, I don't think anyone would characterize him as a traitor or turncoat.  He seems conscientiously-honest.  He seems genuine.

A traitor is a person who betrays another, a cause, or any trust.  Who has Lieberman betrayed?

A turncoat is "One who traitorously switches allegiance".  Lieberman seems to be 100% for the welfare of the American people.  He doesn't seem traitorous.

  2. Maybe figuratively, if you're a Democrat who's concerned with numbers. But with the current balance of power, numbers are not especially important.

He's just another sleazy politician who's trying to play both sides by pretending to be in the middle.

  3. No, no such thing as a traitor for changing parties, or supporting another party.

I do wish he would change his allegiance officially.

Yes, vote him out of office.  That is really all you can do.  He has broken no law or moral code.

    Obama all the way.

    Peace

    Jim

  4. He's an Independent, not a Republican.

  5. He is a conservative politician. He uses then abuses people.

  6. why would they vote him out, he changed his mind, and with todays world the way it is, he changed to a better side....hes still a democrat by far, and support most democratic issues there are just some things he doesn't support.  but inst that true with all of us.  i might be a right winger, and i love it but there ARE STILL some things i support about my good ole buddies on the Loony Left.  after all, i used to be one!

  7. The Republicans can have him

  8. How do I know. He is not even sure if he is a Democrat or Independent.

  9. Actually, he stands for what the democratic party used to be about.  Too bad there are only a few left.

The party has gone Extreme left wing over the last 10 years.  Almost scary if you look at how much of a "Big Governement" idealogy some of these candidates have.

Lieberman had a lot of balls doing what he did.

  10. and a JEW.

  11. Not at all, he is a very brilliant Jewish man who cares about truth , justice and the American way.  He is actually not a Republican. from what he has said, he is Independent.

  12. No, he's not a traitor or a turncoat.   The Democrats threw him under a bus.

Because he dared to oppose the Democrat party line on one issue -- namely, the Iraq war -- the Dems cut him off.

So, he ran for re-election as an Independent -- and the people of Connecticut re-elected him!

I understand that Lieberman has GREAT support and popularity in his home state.

I don't agree with all of Lieberman's positions, but he has a sterling, squeaky-clean reputation.

So, no, he is not a traitor -- it was the Dems who took a s.h.i.t. all over him, not the other way around.

The people of CT elected him as a Democrat.  They re-elected him as an Independent.   There's no reason to believe they wouldn't re-elect him as a Republican.

  13. Maybe he's just a concerned American.

  14. No, Lieberman is not a traitor or turncoat...anymore!

He is no longer a Dem, but an Independent!

The people of Connecticut voted Lieberman in as an Independent.

  19. No.

  20. he's just another puppet in a long line of political puppets

  21. The Republicans can have the Cheerleader.

  22. he is a d**k Cheney, minus the Cheney.
