  1. If you mean an earth material that can be mined economically to make a profit, then yes.  Even sand  is an ore if someone digs it up and is able to sell it to someone else.  Many millions have been made by mining companies operating sand and gravel pits.

    Lime is an earth materrial derived by the heating of limestone to drive off the CO2.
