Is Lincecum out for the year? He took a wicked shot to the knee off and was helped off the field 5th inning?

It's probably just a bruise. I don't think it's going to be an important injury that puts him on the DL.

It got him on the side of the knee, so most people are hoping it's just a bruise. I am hoping it's just a contusion, because the only time I really enjoy watching the Giants is when Tim Lincecum is out on the mound.

Edit: Yah, I hate rooting for a crappy team, it isn't fun. All they do is disappoint game after game. Even when they win it's disappointing.

X-Rays taken after the game revealed no fracture and he was walking just fine after the game. He should start on Sunday if he feels fine?
