  1. Liverpool has always been a melting pot, and most 'white' Liverpudlians are descendants of immigrants be it Welsh, Scottish or Irish.

Liverpool has the oldest Chinese community in Europe, for some reason a very large Somalian community, as well as being home to the largest Irish population in any city outside Ireland.

Until the influx of eastern Europeans, most recent immigration that the UK has had has not really affected Liverpool. It does not have a large Asian community (despite being home to Britain's first Mosque) but it does have a very old Caribbean community. Being a port many sailors would settle here (Liverpool has always had a large Scandinavian community).

Several years ago it was unusual to see someone from the ethnic communities working in the shops in the city centre, but thankfully that seems to be changing now.

  2. yes we have many cultures in Liverpool and many different places of worship for all of the community.. The University also educates many students from all over the world

  3. Yes it is and has been since the Irish Famine if not before.

I am surprised thathe word N e g r o sems to be politically incorrect even though racially correct. what the heck is the matter with people
