Is Liverpool a center for the Irish in England?

Hey everyone,

My friend visited England at the begingin of the summer and went to alot of major cities in England and Wales.

She told me that Liverpool is full of Irish people, and told me that its kindof like the Boston of England. Does anyone know anything of Liverpool, is it a center for the Irish outside of Ireland?

She said that "Dingle" and "Kensington" parts are the heaviest.
