Is Liverpool even capable of challenging for the title

Instead of saying your gonna win the league finally this year (they've been saying that for the last ten years), why dont you try to at least mount a serious title challenge. I can even remember once where Liverpool has been in the race till the end.

Come on, stop hidding behind past glories and give the likes of Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal a decent fight for the title.

  1. Ok Ok we all know you don't like Liverpool already.

So give it a rest w@nkers cramps.

  2. Watch this space

  3. Be assured that by October/November they will be calling for Rafa to be sacked (yet again).

  4. I don't think they are to be honest. They are obviously going to be contenders for the champions league spot as usual, but I just don't think they have it in them to go all the way and actually win the league. As long as Torres performs the way he did last season then they will be fine to grab the champions league spot. But after a while it will just be same old Liverpool. They really need to focus on getting to the top.

  5. Why not.

  6. 18 years are not bad considering Chelsea's 5O, L'pool will challenge for the premier League VERY soon and as a Man Utd fan you should know that.

You obviously know nothing about football, Liverpool were runners-up in 2001, may be a long time ago but we are getting closer every year and the day they win it, lets just say I'd love to see your smug grin wiped off your face!

  7. you never know.  obviously teams like united, arsenal, chelsea stand in their way... but we'll have to wait and see what the duo of keane and torres will bring

  8. if torres is in good form.

and Liverpool FC need a manager that bothers to win the title,

    not fourth place!

  9. Knowing your motive behind this question (hatred, bitterness), I won't bother answering properly.

All I'll say is: A team that wins the champions league in 2005, reaches the final in 2007 and gets to the semi-finals in 2008 has every chance of winning their league. Being the official UEFA top seeded Champions League team this year shows we're good enough to challenge for whatever we want.

  10. if he doesnt rotate too much against lesser teams, he seems to think he doesnt need to field a strong team against lesser teams, giving the lesser team more motive to win or draw and thats what happens, If you noticed, when he played the same team week in week out, we were one of the top form teams :( so its all down to rafa.

  11. dude they have to challenge for 2nd place first :P....can they get there?they need 2 wingers, atleast 2 gud defenders....thats just the first part

    do they have bench strength?no

lastly they have to make united be wary b4 a game against them....does that happen?nope(last 3 seasons they havent even found the back of the net)

  12. They always said that for a long time since Houllier took over, in the end gave empty promises, whatever it is we shall see about that hows' their doing this season to prove the critics wrong.

  13. All depends on goal machine - torres

  14. liverpool will win the league

  15. nope. nyehehehe.
