I don't think so, it's not that expensive anymore. I'm about to get some from Red Lobster.

  1. There is enough for everyone.  If you eat it at a high end place then you will have to pay high end.

  2. Don't fancy eating it myself, so I don't care if it's for the rich.  Give me a bacon butty anytime .

  3. red lobster is amazing

  4. not really

  5. I prefer oysters raw on the half shell with a good beer not thats some good food

lobster is still pricey for what u get beside u eat what u like

  6. No!!! it depends on where you live and how much the market price is...a grocery store w/ a GOOD seafood dept. should have a nice selection, and price

  7. i don't eat meat but in Maine lobster is famous and affordable even the poorest people can get lobster her since it is abundant and the state of maine is the largest producer of it. we even have it at mcdonalds and fast food places during the summer time.

lobster is cheaper than $10 in maine i should know cause i live here.

  8. Well, rich people are less likely to do their own cooking, so they don't see the live lobster being boiled to death. So, I bet more of them do eat lobster.

When I was a kid, my Mother boiled a lobster & was so sickened by what she'd done, that she buried it in the back yard.  At the time, she was working nights & things were tight, so it was no small deal.

Red Lobster is a middle class chain, & for the most part, serves heart attack food. I've heard that if you eat something fibery at the same meal, some of the cholesterol will bind with the fiber, saving you some damage.

  9. No, it's definitely not expensive at Red Lobster. I mean, it may be a little more expensive than other items, but nothing ridiculous.

A lot of places that charge a lot for lobster, are giving you 2 pound plus lobsters. And if it says "Market Price" on the menu, don't be afraid to ask.

If you like lobster, visit Maine. You can get lobster for like $10 during season!

Enjoy your dinner and remember to tip your waitress at least 18% for good service.

  10. No, but then I dont think rich people should get bugs.

  11. no, when was it ever?

  12. Not at all .

  13. Lobster was originally considered poor food - dock workers ate it a lot because it was basically free to anyone who caught them.

It has gotten to be a rich man's food because it is so decadent.  Red Lobster lobster is not nearly as good as fresh caught off the coast and prepared immediately.

  14. To answer your question, no, it isn't.

That said, Red Lobster is kind of trashy. If you're going to get lobster, get some good fresh lobster, don't go for the cheap low class, low quality chain.

The way you pose your "question" makes it sound like you're going to eat lobster because you find it to be a status symbol, not because you even particularly like it. And that's very odd. Very odd indeed.

  15. no now any one can afford to buy and eat it.

you answered your own question, and that's a no no.
