Is London safe?

i feel really scared and worried about going up to london in the evening. i wish to go on a date with my boyfriend to a nice posh restaurant in london but im really scared that something bad will happen cos its night and its london.

Has anyone recently gone out to london to a nice posh restaurant at night??

im worried that if we go out, a gang of Chavs will surround us or some kids will try to mug my boyfriend or i.

can some one please reassure me.

well i have been to London to a restaurant at midnight but don't get worried because it still so a lively place a night and there are many people around so i am sure you are going to be safe and enjoy your date with your boy friend and have fun

well i've been to london loads of time during the day time till evening, and to be 100% honest, i think it's safe, and you being with your boyfriend nothing bad will happen!

Try not to be scared of places and making up little stories in your head, if you don't think bad stuff will happen, they wont'.

I was there two months ago.  If you go in the right place to eat nothing will happen. You shoudn't flash your money.  Don't show that your american.  Act like you know what your doing.

its as safe as anywhere else...you just have to hope your not in the wrong place at the wrong time. Lots of people go to London at night and you wont be alone, so don't worry, enjoy your evening, keep yourself to yourself and have a nice date with your boyfriend.
