Is London the super city it's claimed to be?

Yes and No.  London can be a great city to visit, plenty of things to see and do.  But it can also be scary, dirty and unforgiving.

If you're planning a trip to London on holiday then do the tourist thing and see the sites.  Take a trip on the London Eye.  See all the architecture and the river.  Explore the place and enjoy it.  Take care when you visit.  Use licensed taxi's only and get home safely in the evenings.  Don't travel around alone late at night.

If you live here then it's different.  You won't have to do the tourist thing.  But you'll have to suffer the noise, the pollution, the angry people.  You'll have to travel on the Tube with everyone else.  Crushed in until you can hardly breathe.  Hot and sweaty with a thousand other hot and sweaty people.

So the city has it's ups and downs.  In my opinion it's not the nicest place to live.  It's not a place to bring up a family.  But it has plenty to see if you're just visiting.
