Is Lord Krishna Yadava or Kshatriya?

Lord Krishna has been referred as a Yadava. But his parents, Devaki and Vasudev were Kshatriyas. So why is Krishna called a Yadava?

 krishna was the gujjar of yadav gotra ,in gujjar yadav gotra is found.yadav of devgiri were gujjar,yadav of siyalkot were gujjar, baba nand was also gujjar and if you goes to vrindavan, mathura everybody knows and says that Babs Nand was gujjar and radha of barsana was gujjar , till today barsana village is of gujjars.

In book " Archelogical survey report volume-2 " general cunningham wrote that the krishna of mathura was gurjar by caste .

Rajput was not caste before 13 th century ...it is come into picture after the end of gurjar era (550-1310)  in mughal era....read book " Rajputana ka itihas by gorishankar ojha" &   ' antiquitiz in rajasthan"by colonal james Tod' it was the first book of history in india...

 I Donno Where tis matter My beloved Members got . they says that there are no Khatriyas at that time, the  maternal uncle of Lord sri Krishna "Kamsa" was a khatriya.   At that time the khatriyas will marry khatriyas Only , where the kamsa Sister Devaki was also a Khatriya and she married Khatriya Vasudeva who was the Kushan emporor .in 302BCE deu to thretening of Kamsa the Vasudeva live ayodya and he was sent to his worker c*m livelihood friend Nanda, The Historians say that he was a khatriya & he was born in the Yadava Family, though he was a khatriya or a yadava it doesn't matter for the god ..At all he is one . but i strongly object the posters of Lord Krisna was using in all Yadava Sabhas . if matter were gone same it will not be good for india , all the kings are khatriyas in the Ancient world   if it does same .Evey man can have there own desired Posture in the house its not tolereable

Yadav's are only Kshartiya in india and Yadav's are only Aryan group which came to india long long ago...We look at the past history india. Yadav's are rulers and they were lot of kings. Lord krishna is 100% pure yadav. No more doubt have on this topic....It's very clearly mentioned in rig_veda, Bhagavat Gita etc...,  Yadav's are decent of Krishna.....Only Caste can able to rule the india now...Will see after Caste census........

Yadavs were the only Kshatriyas in those days.Now a days it has become a matter of pride between many castes.Like Jats say Krishna was not Ahir/Yadav he was Jat .Rajputs say he was son of a king so he was rajput.Last but not the least even gujjars say that they are into cattle and milk business so Krishna was Gujjar .But the fact as we all know that Krishna used to be seen along with  cows in open grasslands of Brajbhumi ,Grazing cows  alongside farming used to be tradition of Ahirs/Yadavs.There were no Rajputs at that time .They came into existance in after 6 century A.D.Jats were formed by Lord Krishna himself from Yadavs.Same goes with Gujjars who were foreign Khazar tribe entered into india very late in history..So Krishna was Yadav/Ahir. No god has given birth in palaces.Jesus Christ was a herdsmen,Muhammed was also the same and even Lord Krishna was cattle grazier which used to be ancient job of Yadavs/Ahirs.At that time if a person has more cattle he used to be rich and his status was as high as a king, later on Bhramins never liked Yadavs/Ahirs,Jats and Gujjars as they used to keep many cattles and used their dung to cook food(source of fire).Bhramins degraded their status to Shudras.

It seems u don't hav any knowledge of one of the most ancient community of India. Yadavas r oldest Kshatriya known as Chandravanshi just lik Rajputs as Suryavanshis. Therefore no matter whether u call them Yadava,yaduvanshi,chandravanshi or aheer. They r known by these names but it doesn't mean they r not kshatriya. So Lord Krishna was yadav as well as kshatriya coz dere is no diff b/w the two.

Yadavs are Chandravanshi Khatrayiyas and vasudev was a Yadav only...he was from the yadu clan...

So by birth also Lord Krishna was a Yadav and hence a Kshatriya

First of all yadavas are the original kshatriyas of india. Yadavas originated from King " Yadu" son of Yayati.
